Emotive Vessel Project

Students were asked to identify an emotion to express in the form of a liquid pouring vessel.

After creating 5 pages on basic emotions I decided to refine arrogance into pride.

I then created three mood boards looking at vessels, forms, and textures as general inspiration.

After deciding on an emotion I used clay and xps foam to create a final form for the body that I could use to iterate spout and handle forms

Using the sillouette of the final body’s form I experimented with different handle and spout forms.

I created 4 sets of spourt and handles based off of this ideation in foam that i pinned to my foam models to test placement and decide on a final design

I used Vizcom AI renders to experiement with CMF

After deciding on a final CMF, a rough off-white ceramic, I created a final digital concept render in photoshop
